We are now making a major quality investment and recruiting support pedagogues for three of the municipality's LSS operations.

• Nordkroksvägen 6 C, Service Housing in Vargön: A service housing according to LSS where we support six people with varied disabilities.
• Flottningsgatan 20, Group Housing, Onsjö: A group housing according to LSS where we support six people with varied disabilities and varied ages.
• Rapsvägen 32 Group Housing in Brålanda: A group housing according to LSS where we support six people with varied disabilities and a focus on the elderly.

Responsibilities

You will provide the necessary support based on each person's individual needs to create meaningfulness.

As a support pedagogue, you will work together with the unit manager, operations manager, and support assistants according to the goals and guidelines established for the operations.

You will provide support in the individual's daily life based on their needs through a professional approach, low-affect stance, clarifying pedagogy, and work according to the person's implementation plan. Collaborating with representatives and other professionals is part of your assignment.

We work across unit boundaries, so shifts in other units may occur. You will also be part of a collegial network for support pedagogues within Personal Support and Care.

The role of the support pedagogue includes:

• bringing a reflective working method
• keeping the value base alive
• participating in daily work and working according to established routines
• having a conscious pedagogical approach
• following up and evaluating the organization's methods based on the method tree.
• implementing new research findings and methods
• being involved in developing staff competence
• supporting contact staff in working with implementation plans and goal work
• supporting staff in social documentation/HSL in Lifecare
• establishing/following the organization's routines and action plans together with the operations manager/group leader.
• supporting colleagues to work towards independence and participation with the individuals.

Qualifications

As a support pedagogue, a post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities is required, with at least 200 vocational college credits or at least 60 higher education credits. Alternatively, a combination in between that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies. The education should have a clear focus on the field of disabilities in its entirety.

Higher education corresponding to 60 higher education credits can be parts of a vocational education (e.g., social work program, social pedagogical program, or social psychiatric care). Or individual courses, but all 60 higher education credits must have a direct connection to the operational area.

It is important to us that you have previous experience in the field of disabilities. Experience in psychiatry is an advantage.

A driver's license for manual transmission and being an active driver is a requirement.

Experience with cycling is required. You should also be able to swim, as swimming occurs.
